Slimline and HD ?

I have got an external HD mounting kit for putting a HD on the slimline PS2,
( PSTwo HD Connector with XCM Case *Silver* - V12 )

Can anyone tell me what software I should use ? , Should I pickup the HDD 3.0 , will that work??

We have planned to sell that kit, but the one time we tested it we did not get it to work (on an unchipped ps two) with hd advance 3.0. Or maybe it was 2.0 we had when we tested. One of our suppliers said we should test with a dms4 chip and hacked hd loader instead, but we never had time to test it again.

Thanks for that , I was going to try it using the ghost2 with the danin 3 install disk ( it's got a hacked hdd loader) , do you think that has a chance , . Will you try any other combinations ? or do you think it's a dead end.
The site selling the kit don't say anything about software , I'll send them a mail and ask , If they give us back anything useful , I'll post it here
