Guide för DVD-backup

Skulle någon kunnig själ vilja skriva en utförlig guide på hur jag gör en backup på mina ps2-dvd spel med nero 5.5 och pioneer a105??

Du kan göra på två sätt med nero.
Men jag skriver de första.
Öppna nero så ser du winzard klicka på dvd och sen next och sen klickar du på copy a dvd sen klickar du på next avmarkera fast copy on the fly (om den är markerad) sen klickar du på next då väljer du burn och längre ner väljer du brännarhastighet, (jag brukar köra i 1x) Sen är de bara att klicka på burn <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

Ok, om skivan är en dual layer skiva då? Eller om jag vill lägga in skivan på hårddisken först, hur gör jag då?

Det som funkat för mig tills igår var att skapa en ISO av skivan i PrimoDVD(de flesta rekommenderar den och den enda inställningen man behöver oroa sig över är läshastigheten) och sen bränna ISO'n i 2X hastighet i Alcohol120%(som känner av Mode och allt sånt själv tydligen).

MEN igår försökte jag göra en 1:1 backup på Hitman 2, det funkar fan inte.. har sumpat 2 skivor redan och det enda jag får upp är PS2-loggan och sen kommer jag tillbaka till Browsern(blev likadant när jag försökte bränna Tekken(4) på en CD-R 90 men jag vet inte om det är mediet som är fel nu igen).

Det har hittills funkat utmärkt att göra så med Resident Evil Code X, GT3 A-spec, MoH: Frontline och om jag inte varit så envis igår hade jag troligen lyckats ta en säkerhetskopia av Tony Hawk Pro Skate 4 oxå...

Nån som lyckats med Hitman 2 och i såna fall exakt hur? (Bränn/läs-speed, speciella inställningar man måste göra?)

ps pröva sonys dvd-r på det spelet så blir du glad!
Eftersom du vet hur man bränner dom andra spelen som du har gör du redan rätt. Men ps2 är krässen på vissa spel. Men som sagt köp en sonys dvd-r skiva så funkar det! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

Och det var därför jag tog upp det, samma symptom som när den inte kan läsa skivan (vilket är fallet med CD-R 90).

Ska iväg å köpa nya skivor idag, brände(/skrotade) de två sista jag hade igår.. blir väl Sony's den här gången då

YES!!! spel: tack för tipset!

Vet iofs inte om det hade med de DVD-R skivor jag hade innan(Mac-certifierade(?) och det enda man ser på dem är en Mac-logga) men jag sprang iväg och köpte en Sony DVD-R och sen gjorde jag nåt man inte bör göra under felsökning: ändrade alla föutsättningar på en gång.

Jag gjorde en helt vanlig 1:1 Copy i Nero(ver. 5.5.nånting) och läste till NRG-filen i 1x-speed och sen brände jag även i 1x-speed, tog allt som allt en timma.
I PrimoDVD och Alcohol verkar inte 1x finnas som alternativ (low/med/high i Primo och 2x/Max i Alcohol) så det kan vara så att ISO'n elle bränningen blev lite slarvigt gjorda innan..
nu funkar det i alla fall:
Hitman 2 är i säkert förvar nu

jo de var nog dvd-r skivan som ps2 inte tyckte om. Jag hade förrut samma problem som du hade med spelet james bond nightfire, men då körde jag med bulk dvd-r skivor. Men när när jag prövade sonys dvd-r skiva (som dom skriver att den ska funka i alla makiner) Då funkade spelet! Nu mera kör jag bara med sonys dvd-r ! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

Ok, så det funkar bra med dual-layer copy i nero också? Kan någon göra en detaljerad beskrivning på hur man gör från det att man sätter in orignal-dvd:n i läsaren/brännaren tills att back-up:en är klar..??

Spel som är dual-layer kan du tyvärr inte bränna i nero.

Men de borde finnas något annat program som delar upp spelet i två skivor.

NRG-filer är Nero's sätt att spara ner en CD/DVD på hårddisken, dvs samma som .bin och .iso fast sparat på ett annorlunda sätt.

Jag följde bara en "PS2 DVD Games tutorial" jag hittade på ett annat forum:

3. open nero and using the wizard select dvd click "next"
4. click "copy dvd" and then "next"
5. make sure you select your dvd burner (should be by default)click"next"
6. the burn button will be selected already click "burn" keeping in mind that you are writing the image to your hard drive first. keep speed low..1x is good. save this image to a file on the hard drive.
7. when the image is complete restart nero and click on open existing file. browse for the file you created with .nrg then click "open"
8. the burn wizard will redisplay..click "burn" write the image at 1x. 3gb should take about 40 minutes.

when you play the newly created backup use the boot method the modchip manufacturer reccomends for the chip you have.

Jo, punkt 6 är lite luddig, det kan vara bra att välja vart man vill spara .nrg(=image)-filen innan man trycker på Burn.

Från samma forum hittade jag den intressanta lilla notisen att PSX-spel och PS2-spel på CD kan vara skyddade av libcrypt-kopieringsskydd i vissa fall men PS2-spel på DVD har det än så länge inte synts till något kopieringsskydd alls på så de är bara att göra sina backup'er rakt av enligt ovan, inga patchar eller specialknep behövs.

DVD 9 har jag inte sett några delnings-verktyg för men jag har dock läst någonstans om att det ska gå att göra med rätt mjukvara, vet dock inte vilken... men det ska gå.
Så vitt jag vet så finns det inga DVD9-kapabla brännare att köpa (än) så det måste troligen fixas en patch till varje enskild DVD9-spel som gör att man får en förfrågan om att byta skiva när spelet försöket byta layer i vanliga fall.

Alla ni med Pioneer A05/105 dvd-rw, Jag hittade e nintressant text...

Kompatibilitet - Pioneer A05 & 105

From 2003-02-25 publicerade vi officiellt att vi drar in allt stöd, samt support och media garanti för denna enheten. Många har undrat varför. Anledningarna är många, dock är dem relativt solklara. Vårat beslut är taget utifrån den respons denna enhet har fått av våra kunder, våra egna interna tester, samt oberoende tester och utlåtanden. För att närmare specificera några av elementen som varit grundstenarna för våran ställning:

95% av alla reklammationer & / eller felanmälningar gällande kompatibilitetsproblem med DVD-R, DVD-RW media oberoende av fabrikat görs sonika av ägare till Pioneer A05/105. En skrämmande siffra med tanke på vilka volymer DVD-R media vi omsätter just nu.

Pioneers egna totala nonchalans i ärendet, och deras sätt att bedriva deras politik. Att Pioneer har dispyter med NN mediatilverkare skall inte gå ut över deras trogna kunder. Trots TONVIS med klagomål finns det inget intresse från Pioneers sida att korrigera problemen. Och troligen lär det inte heller korrigeras förrän Pioneer inser att dem enda som förlorar på denna utdragna process är dem själva. Asiatiska mediatillverkare kommer t.ex fortsätta använda illegala tillverkar id på deras skivor om dem vill, att Pioneer bestraffar deras kunder kommer inte att främja en avveckling av den verksamheten.

Våra Interna disc tester med sektor /crc verifiering av media skrivet på olika typer av enheter, med olika FW revisioner. Där samtliga enheter passerade utan större anmärkningar, Pioneer A05 hade en fel-ratio på hela 76% !!! Jämfört med föregångaren A04 som hade en ratio på 6%, Sony DRU 4%, Vivastar RS-111 8%.

Pga dessa aspekter (ovan bara ett axplock!!) kan vi inte lämna vare sig någon som helst garanti på att ett specifikt media är kompatibelt med denna enhet eller ej. Rysk roulette brukar det kallas, och du ger dig in på det på egen risk. Vi upphör även vår försäljning av denna enhet och all service/support gällande den. Samtliga av dessa ärenden hänvisas numera till Pioneer Nordic.

Lite mer axplock ur vad resten av världen tycker:

Reading through various forums and discussion groups it seems that we are far from happy with Pioneer and the A05 4x speed DVD writer. The writer will not burn satisfactory to the budget brands and is limited to 1x speed writing to known 2x speed media. I was going to get myself an A05 for Xmas but I have serious doubts now.
This is what consumers in various forums have been saying

?Intenso DVD-R has read-errors, more than half of the files on the Disk is not readable. (tried 4 times using different software always the same result)?

?the discs are not compatible in a lot of DVD players. So it sucks!?

?when trying to burn onto the Datawrite DVD-R nero 5.5.9.14 it gives me Power Calibration Error.?

?I Phoned Pioneer UK tech support today, and was told that There are clones of TDK and Verbatim discs that use the manufacturer IDs (such as TDKG002.000000) but use inferior quality dyes in their discs, and it is these inferior dyes that cause the discs to fail when burning.?

?The man at Pioneer (Very helpful and informative also told me that the 'clone' discs have a brownish or blueish tinge to the dye and are using a pure organic dye, whereas the original discs have a nice purple tinge to them, and are using a different dye type. which is why people think that pioneer are 'banning' the cheaper media. but it's because the media actually doesn't meet the correct specifications and isn't of good enough quality?

?rang pioneer customer services this is what they said. they told me that all cheaper dvdr-media isnt gonna work with a05 as intended. that it writes in 2x with unusable result and that only a few cheap dvdr's work and then you are limited to 1x speed. customer service guy advised me to buy an a04 with firmware 1.31 or buy expensive media?

i have a 105 and have not yet come across a media that i cannot burn
the drive also performs tasks that my 104 would have struggled in doing
i have firmware 0.52 and would like to know what firmware the ppl who are struggling have??
i am taking a shot that the 1.00 firmware was put on the drive to disable the cheap medias that pioneer don?t want us to buy?

?Its easy to say, or perhaps think the problem would be the media. But then, ber in mind the following. The very same discs that has a very high failure level on the A05, works VERY good with the A03+A04. If the problem is the media? Then why doesn?t it affect these units??

?A VERY important note about the A05 is to see that errors seems quite solely being given birth to at higher writing speeds then 1X. Heat problem? Or laser intensifying/power calibration error? I still have grave doubts the media is the rotten dog in this case.?

?I would like to add that Ritek's 1x DVD-Rs are actually 2x, they just didn't pay for the certification. I know this is true of all their current DVD-Rs, though some older stock might be different. I have this straight from Ritek?

"Cheap" media seems to be having the most problems by far as I said. However, "cheap" media is what keeps the majority of your customers buying your drives.

?I love Pioneer. But if we are restricted to using expensive DVD-Rs, I think I'll return it?

CONCLUSION
As you can see there is a lot of dissatisfaction with the drives performance and Pioneer just say it is down to bad quality media, I don?t think so! A lot of the alleged poor quality media burns satisfactory on the A03 & A04 and also on the Sony so who are they trying to fool?? It has to be political, they messed up the writing on similar media with the firmware upgrade to 1.33 on the A04 then they did the same with the A05. Fortunately there were a few A05?s that didn?t get upgraded when the drives were recalled that?s why there are a few happy users with the original .52 firmware.
Come off it Pioneer we are not all green.
