Denna VGA-adapter är speciell, då spelen måste "patchas" för att aktivera ÄKTA vga-upplösning. F.n. har vi en lista på c:a 130 spel som stöds, tyvärr har jag inte fått bekräftat om den gäller PAL/Europeiska versioner av spelen eller endast NTSC/USA versioner.

Vertical Scale and Progressive Scan

These are the manual settings which can be found on the Main Screen of the VGA Adaptor. These settings can be used as a quick way to try a game with VGA Adaptor.

Code

This is the 16 digit code which can be added to the VGA Adaptor and is published for two reasons. The first and most common reason for using this code is to allow new games added by the user to the VGA Adaptor to have the correct settings. This makes it easier for the user when the game is next used as it is simply a matter of selecting the game from the list saving the hassle of having to find the settings again.

The second reason is that the 16 digit code issued for a particular game is needed in order for it to work correctly with the VGA Adaptor. If this is the case, the user has no option but to enter this code otherwise the game will fail to work as expected. Normally a note will be present to indicate this is required.

Horizontal and Vertical Bars

Because of the way some games work with regards resolution you may occasionally see what we refer to as Bars when using the VGA Adaptor. These may appear at the bottom and/or right hand sides of the screen. These Bar's may contain duplicates of part of the screen or just plain garbage. Eliminating this in some cases using the VGA Adaptor is done automatically. However, if the bar's are still visible then the following can be tried:

Horizontal Bars - Using your monitor's controls adjust the horizontal width and then centre until the garbage is off screen or almost gone.
Vertical Bars - Using your monitor's controls adjust the vertical height and then centre until the garbage is off screen or almost gone.
Some users may see this is as off putting and at first glance it appears to be true. In most cases (and even if the garbage cannot be reduced or moved off screen completely) the user will be so engrossed in the game they will not notice it!

Notes

We will add in here anything we believe is necessary in order for the game to work with the VGA Adaptor or any problems that particular game has.

This will contain any problems that occur for a particular game when used with the VGA Adaptor and advice on how to fix or avoid the problem where possible.

Status

For Status there will be three categories:
Working - For a game to be classed as working we check for the following:
All menu's are displayed correctly.
While playing the game, it is displayed correctly.
The game is stable throughout.
We do not however check that movies or loading screens display correctly as these quite often do not add to the game play and can cause problems with stabilty.
Investigating - This will appear when we are looking into a working solution for a particular game which may have problems with the VGA Adaptor.
Not Working - Despite our best efforts there will occasionally be games which do not work with the VGA Adaptor.

Ja, men inlägget var mera som en kommentar på det förra inlägget, men visst, jag ska inte moderera....
