Problems with Xecutor 2.2 lite

Hey. I just installed a chip today, but there are trouble, when I have the chip on enable and start the box, it tries to start two or three times then the xbox starts blinking red on and off and dosen't start at all. I'm really new at this so bear with me, I have three switches one: Enable/disable, two: Protect/unprotect and three bank1/bank2. Have I understood right when I say that with disable you turn the chip off? (When it's on disable the game runs as usual). But what is the protect button for? What can the problem be? has my new bios fucked up, has some wires been removed from where they should be? Is this something that can be fixed?

The protect switch enables the bios' write protection. This simply means that you cannot flash, reflash or erase your bios while switch is 'ON'.

The red/green flashing light problem (also known as 'Frag' in other forums) is a quite common problem among people trying to solder their xbox mods themselves (like me :-) ).
The symptom occurs when the xbox tries to boot from the modchip but no properly working bios is present. This can be caused by numerus things, for example a corrupted bios (due to power loss while flashng) or a faulty modchip and/or installation.

Using header-pin installation caused this fault on my xbox but from your post i assume that you have soldered the wires direcly to the mainboard. Check and doublecheck your soldering points. Some people have found solder spill on their mainboards and by removeing that their boxes boot again
Use a magnifying glass if avaliable.

Other than that, the only advice i can give you is: try to start up your chip in someone else's xbox to see if the chip works properly (hotswap). If not, try reflashing the bios using a programmer.
