Flashing 4979

I´ve installed 2.3 lite chip in my v 1.1 xbox.
My chip wasn´t flashed so i downloaded 4979 and burned it.
When I start up my xbox with the cd in it, it finds the bios and down loads it. After that it shout downs. So far so good.
But when I start it up again it just starts over and asking for bios?
I tried yesterday with 4978 with the same results and called support that told me to try 4979. But it doesn´t work.
What can I do?
What does the bank1/bank2 switch do?

Have you set the BIOS Flash protection to OFF before you inserted the disc with the BIOS on it?

The Flash switch its on unprotected and the "bank" switck is on
bank 1. it downloads the bios from the cd but my problem is that it´s starts over when i start it up again.

what shall i do when it downloaded the bios and turned it self off ?
Do I have to change any of the switches ?

Have you installed your X2 2.3 by your self?If yes,have you solder it correctely?
