Ännu en vettig biosversion från Team X-ecuter.

Nyheten i detta BIOS är att xboxen aldrig släpps ut på xbox-live, så nu kan man lugnt sätta en chippad xbox i händerna på barnbarnen utan att behöva vara orolig för att dom råkar "gå live" med chippet aktiverat.

- Unfortunately the 4976 hangs if people have a "debug" xbox and the default dash is set to launcher (xbsetcfg /l),
this release fixes this problem

You should be made aware of some issues that we discovered and
has probably had some of you tearing your hair out.

If you have games like GTA, GTA Vice City and Fifa 2004 etc and
they are crashing during the game then you will find they operate
and AUTOSAVE check which uses your system clock. Now if your system
clock is corrupt then it will crash a number of titles which use
AUTOSAVE. One clock we found corrupt had a date/time setting of
15/11/8097. The second the clock was fixed in the MS Dash all the
games that crashed worked just fine with no problems whatsoever.

You should also be aware that some apps especially FlashX v1.2 are
also crashing - this is down to the EVOX IGR. You should disable all
EVOX IGR and this will get things moving nicely.

Also in case you didn't know X2 Bios Manager v2 Final was also released.
It's now extremely reliable and supports flashing both the Lite and
Pro X2 mods. It even has a new Internet Updatable MD5 bios listing.
Another extra is to be able to flash the X2 pro using a lite programmer
if you ever needed to. Get it from here: (Need to be registered)

We also encourage you to use the lastest Avalaunch Dashboard along with
the fantastic Qwix Windows App. We won't explain what Qwix is just try
it out for yourself. We've seen whats coming in the new Avalaunch, it
will most definatley be the dash of choice this year.

Enligt officiella forumen så släpps unreal tournament igenom till xbox live men alla andra testade spel hittills blockar den.
Så försiktighet skadar inte.

Kollade det nya bios:et med XBTool & den säger:Kernel Not Supported.
Man vågar ju inte flasha med detta BIOS,iallafall inte jag.Är det nån som lyckats att flasha utan fel.Jag såg på ett forum (teamxecuter) att det nya 4980 har krashat många XBox!!

Xbtool har inte det nya bioset med i sin md5 validering och därav säger den unsuppored kernel.

Och de fall som du nämner som har problem med biosen har använt sig av repacks från icke officiella releaser.

Jag hämtade det på irc, la in det på min gamla 1.1 box med X-Ecuter 1.1 Lite, fungerade fint!

Man hittar oserösa repacks som inte fungerar, dessa erhåller man från andra platser.

Det där med "repack" är faktiskt pga en miss som x-ecuter 2 grabbarna gjorde, dom släppte först 4979 där 4979.06 egentligen var 4979.67 eller tvärtom. Och den släpptes på XBINS. Så fort dom upptäckte problemet släpptes 4979 repack...på XBINS.

Men det är rätt, ta helst allt direkt från xbins så vet man att man får det direkt från källan.
