Written by koitsu, but I'm NOT the original author of the hack.
I take no credit whatsoever for the hack - I'm just making it
easier to use. I made this file solely by following the
instructions and using <a href="http://www.xbox-scene.com/007linux.txt" target="_blank">http://www.xbox-scene.com/007linux.txt</a> .

What you need:

- An unmodded Xbox
- A memory card
- A (legitimate) copy of "007: Agent Under Fire", a $20 old game.
But NOT "007: Nightfire" - that is a different game!
- Either:
- A second, modified Xbox with EvolutionX installed
- A Mega X-Key from <a href="http://www.xbox-saves.com" target="_blank">www.xbox-saves.com</a>

This really does work, but is pretty much just a simple demo right
now. You can telnet to the Xbox though! Eventually this hack will
become awesome.

Instructions if you're using a second Xbox with EvoX (and FTP on PC)
--------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Unzip the zip file into a temporary directory.
2. Using your FTP software, connect to your XBox.
3. Transfer the various files which you unzipped in step 1 to their
corresponding directories on your Xbox's E: drive (under the UDATA
directory). Be careful about preserving the directory structure.
4. Run the Microsoft dashboard.
5. Copy the saved file from the hard drive to the memory card.

Instructions if you're using a second Xbox with EvoX (and Xbox-Saves
Manager on PC)
--------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Place the ZIP file in the \Saves\ subdirectory off of your Xbox-
Saves Manager directory.
2. Using the XBox-Saves Manager, connect to your XBox.
3. Highlight "Agent Under Fire (Linux Test)" then hit the "transfer
to XBox" arrow.
4. Run the Microsoft dashboard.
5. Copy the saved file from the hard drive to the memory card.

Instructions if you're using a Mega X-Key
-----------------------------------------
1. Place the ZIP file in the \Saves\ subdirectory off of your Mega
X-Key directory (i.e. c:\Program Files\MegaXKey\Saves\)
2. Insert your Mega X-Key (or compatible) USB memory drive into your
PC.
3. Run the Mega X-Key software and highlight "Agent Under Fire (Linux
Test)", then hit the "transfer to Mega X-Key arrow".

Instructions for either after you're done
-----------------------------------------
1. Boot the unmodified Xbox without a disk to go to the Dashboard.
2. Go to the saves menu with the memory card inserted.
3. Copy the 007 save from memory card to hard drive.
4. Boot 007 without the memory card.
5. Go to the main menu and choose "Load Mission".
6. Choose Xbox Hard Disk.

Linux will boot! The screen goes black, but it works! The Xbox LED
will change to orange. You'll hear footsteps, then an orchestra,
then a weird sound, then an explosion. Linux is loaded.

Now you can web browse your unmodded xbox! Just go to this address:

You can also telnet into your xbox at address 192.168.0.64. Use
login "root", password "xbox". There isn't much you can do, but it
works!

You can use it to access your Xbox hard drive (FATX partitions). Go
to the /media directory, hehe. Just don't modify anything, or you'll
have a very hard time fixing it!

Hej hittade för ett tag sen i ett forum hur man går tillväga att flasha TSOP utan memorycard eller linux med 007 agent under fire.

Men hittar inte det i igen, nån vänlig själ som kan hjälpa???

Måste man bygla om ngt för att kunna flsha orginal bioset? Gäller det på alla xbox versioner eller är det bara på de senare?

Kan ingen klistra det som står i SD om det hät, har inte skivan eller har ngn en bra länk på det?

Men ja kanske vill döda min box? Men vet inte än om ja ska göra det själv eller lämna det till ngn annan, men ja vill läsa om det. Ge mig länkar eller en utförlig förklaring..

Ja man måste alltid bygla bioset så det blir flash bart..(tror jag)

Lyckades läsa mig till hur 007 hacket fungerar i xbox-scene:s forum.

Hur lätt som helst att genomföra en flashning, har inte testat pheonix bootloader som gör att man inte behöver flasha bioset för att obehindrat köra olika program..

men jag har ett homebrew att löda in om nåt går snett, så jag kunde ju prova mig fram lite..
